Pyrographic renderings by Palestinian Tayseer Barakat have been exhibited in South America, North America, Europe, and many parts of the Arab world. In Ramallah on the West Bank, Gaza Strip, you can view his work at the Ziryab Cafe and Gallery, owned and operated by the artist himself.

Read about a personal interview on the West Bank with Tayseer Barakat done by Samia Halaby in an illustrated article in the September–October 2001 issue of Pyrograffiti in the Woodcarvers On-Line Magazine (WOM).

Tayseer Barakat's work is now on display in his new website. Click here to visit his website, or contact him by e-mail by clicking on the link on his name in the paragraphs above. On his homepage you will see a picture of Tayseer with one of his works and a beautiful calligraphic logo for his Ziryab Café.

You can read more of his story on Samia Halaby's website, which features his work there as well (including his works in ink).
