In addition to three works in burnt wood by Baron Reinhold R. von Thadden cited in 1899 and two more in 1900 in the Catalogue of the Architectural League of New York, where his works were exhibited along with those of J. William Fosdick and many other pyrographic artists, featured here in this salon is a series of articles in The Music Trade Review mostly about his lavish pianos in pyrogravure created for the piano manufacturers of that time.

In the articles about the Miller Piano Pyrography Design and the wainscot panels of musical scenes and composers in pyrography adorning the Hardman, Peck & Co. "wareroom" we are tentatively assuming they are by von Thadden, although no artist is named for either of them. At the very least, in this way there is awareness of their existence, and for the Miller Piano an image of the beautiful work. We are hopeful that more will come to light in the future.
