Spanish artist PLUNA, has been experimenting intensely in pyrographic art since his time in the country (1998–2005), when he felt the need for an expression related to the wood and fire—nature's elements—surrounding him in that rural setting. PLUNA is an internationally recognized artist with a long list of exhibitions to his credit. He is currently residing in Madrid.

PLUNA was introduced briefly in the November-December 2008 issue of Pyrograffiti in the WOM announcing his exhibition near Madrid entitled Water. Subsequently, he was featured with his story and more examples of his works in an illustrated article in the January-February 2009 Pyrograffiti.

PLUNA's story, his technique, his list of exhibitions, and more of his works are featured on his own web site (in Spanish) at pluna.red-sur.com.

In 2008, PLUNA started his own blog, which you can visit at pirograbarte.blogspot.com/. Among other things, he has used this forum to philosophize about motivations behind his exhibitions.
