Much of the work of artist Maria Luisa Grimani of Italy has been reproduced for her art books and for one her son Tommaso Correale Santacroce wrote—a short story entitled Radice, which, in addition to the detail reproductions of her work illustrating it, has an original art work book cover. It is Maria Luisa's own story starting with her climbing a walnut tree as a child.

Her art exhibits and book details can be found on the Maria Luisa Grimani website.

Maria Luisa Grimani's story and art work are featured in an article in Pyrograffiti 21 in the January–February 2003 issue of the Woodcarvers Online Magazine (WOM).

Maria Luisa Grimani's special exhibit in June 2004 and pictures of her handmade art books (an Italian edition "Radice" and an English edition "Root") are featured in an article in Pyrograffiti 30 in the September–October 2004 issue of the WOM.
