British artist Lesley Wyatt relies solely on pyrography to achieve the varied tones in her work, which is on wood mostly but also on paper.
Lesley's husband Jeff is an expert knot tyer who creates hand-knotted frames for her wood panels in nautical themes (like the Vierge de Lourdes above). See their photo sites at community.webshots.com/user/lesleywyatt and http://photos.yahoo.com/lesleywyatt.
