Pyrography with color on burl

Canadian wildlife artist and instructor, Lynda Eaves returned to her homeland after many years living in the United States. Her artwork reflects her life in Canada's wilderness where she and her husband have chosen to live.

Although Lynda had been working in pyrography for some time, working on burls is one of her innovations since arriving in Canada. Lynda has her own Northern Lights Studio linked here displaying more of her work.

In addition, Lynda's story and work are featured in Pyrograffiti, an on-line article in the January 2000 issue of the Woodcarver On-Line Magazine linked here.

She is also featured twice in the first segment of page 2 of Pyrograffiti in July of 2001.

Lynda Gibbs Eaves (1953–2006) passed away in December 2006. A friend and member of the pyrography community of artists lovingly prepared a Friends' Tribute web page in memory of Lynda.
