American M. Jordan Tierney is a pyrography assemblage artist with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, who has a long list of solo and group exhibits to her credit, an impressive bibliography of write-ups in The Washington Post and elsewhere, and is a partner in 57N Fine Art in Washington, DC. In addition, she has her own business, Azimuth Art and Framing, specializing in custom framing; exhibit design, fabrication, and installation; and crating.

Read about M. Jordan Tierney and her work in an illustrated article in the November/December 2000 issue of Pyrograffiti in the Woodcarver On-Line Magazine (WOM).

As of February 2002, Jordan is now exhibiting her work on the Azimuth Group website. Another small segment in the March-April 2002 issue of Pyrograffiti announced that new website and showed another of her pieces.

Since then, she has recently established her own www.jordantierney.comwebsite as well

Jordan Tierney's work Emprise at 4 a.m. is on display from 30 April to 15 June 2003 in a special exhibit at The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC. (Four of her collages form part of the permanent collection of the NMWA.)

The NMWA exhibit as well as some new works of Jordan's in a "Soot Series" are featured in an illustrated article in the May-June 2003 issue of Pyrograffiti in the Woodcarver On-Line Magazine.
