American artist Jennifer Ferraro discovered pyrography soon after she moved to the outskirts of Santa Fe, NM, in the mid 1990s from the New York/New Jersey area of her origins. She instantly felt the medium would be well suited to her interpretations of icons.

As of 2004, Jennifer's Sacred Faces website is now at www.jenniferferraro.com; her site features a collection of her works (and a picture of her with a grouping of them on display for sale in a shop on the main square in Santa Fe) and now offers a book of her poems and pyrographs entitled Divine Nostalgia, as well.

Jennifer Ferraro's story and more of her Sacred Faces pyrographs are featured as well in an on-line article of the Pyrograffiti newsletter published in the Woodcarvers Online Magazine (WOM), January 2000 issue.
