A LESSON IN PYROGRAPHY
Written and illustrated by Edith W. Fisher

Adapted from the Household Ledger magazine, New York, September 1903, pp. 42–43.

The 1903 article "A Lesson in Pyrography" was written and illustrated by Edith W. Fisher and published in the September issue of the Household Ledger Magazine of New York City.

Little is known at this time about this writer. The format of the article suggests that perhaps she used to write a feature that came out in each issue. If that turns out to be the case, it is likewise unknown whether her articles and designs were always about pyrography or touched on various themes or art forms.

Edith Fisher was also found listed in the Ladies Home Journal in the January 1905 issue; however, the title of her article there—"How I Made My Home Pretty"—does not reveal whether or not that article is about pyrography.

If you have either any questions to ask or any additional information to offer about Edith W. Fisher and her art or articles on pyrography, please e-mail the E-Museum Curator.
