Australian pyrographic artist Denise Needham is well known in her country and abroad for her striking portraits, vignettes, and scenes detailing everyday people and everyday life in Australia in days gone by. She has worked on wood panels as large as three metres by two meters and also done a lot of decorative work in pyrography. She has recently produced a series of didactic videos.

More of Denise's work can also be seen in her recently inaugurated PYROZ website. Denise Needham and her new website were introduced in Pyrograffiti in the March–April 2002 issue of the Woodcarvers Online Magazine.
