Dino Muradian became famous for his pyrographs on wood panels, especially his remarkable portraits, particularly those of the female face and form considered so difficult to master. He works solely in pyrography and adds no color. He later expanded his repertoire to include an enormous variety of subjects on guitars and humidors as well. He was even commissioned for a large project pyrographing icons for an iconostasis in an Orthodox church in California, USA.

Dino is currently being featured on three websites: FineArt America, the Saatchi Gallery, and Deviant Art.

This artist has been featured three times in the Woodcarvers Online Magazine (WOM). For more about his extraordinary art work, go to the premier issue (January 1997) of the WOM, featuring an interview and several illustrations of work by Dino Muradian in an article entitled Pyrography: Fine Art.

More of Dino's work was featured in a multi-artist article on Pyrography Decorating Musical Instruments published in the March 1999 issue of the WOM.

Dino's work was featured in two pages in the September 2002 issue of the WOM in a 2-part article with the first segment on Dino Muradian: A Project Unfolding about his large project constructing and decorating with icons an iconostasis for an Orthodox church, and a second segment on Dino Muradian: Varied Themes with stories about his guitar decorating and other topics including many illustrations.

To contact the artist, please e-mail him at Dino Muradian or e-mail the E-Museum Curator for more information.
