Decorative pyrographic artist Christian Maraschin, from Haut-Rhin, France, combines pyrography and sometimes color on various materials.
In recent years, Christian Maraschin's excellent website PYROGRAVURE, was no longer available; however, the E-Museum is pleased to announce that his site has been discovered in the web archives, and the link here will now take you there. It offers the visitor a sampling of his own fine works in the first gallery and a very fine collection of antique works in the second gallery. The version at the link above is in English; however, for our visitors who may prefer his original French version or perhaps his German version, they are both available here at their respective links.
Christian Maraschin was featured in Pyrograffiti, in the September–October 2001 issue of the Woodcarver On-Line Magazine, page two.
The E-Museum has lost contact with Christian Maraschin and hopes that anyone who may have information about him, will write the E-Museum Curator who would be very grateful.
